Here is our final digi-pak design.
We have chosen soft colours, to make the vibrant ones stand out. For example on the front cover the background is beige whereas the horses mane is a vibrant orange. We did this because it cleverly reinforces not only the name of the CD but also of the track. Also on the front cover is the horse looking slightly upwards. This was to reiterate the importance of the mask and being different. The name on the front cover is clear and easy to read, this was important because everybody needs to know who the artist is and what the album is called. This is one of the main connotations of a CD cover. The back cover features the main aspects of any digi-pak: the track list, which are all horse-related, the bar code and a bar code for phones. this is a good feature of the digi-pak because it shows the DJ Concord is up to date with all technology. Also within the copyright, labels of the music producer it includes our Twitter name and Facebook page, this also shows that DJ Concord is up-to-date. Moving on to the inner pages, the first one is of a picture of the mask shouting and around it is different ratings. This is because from our research we found that some artists include what magazines, radio presenters thought of their album. It shows that they are a valued artist and have a good name. It also exposes the artist even more if other people have looked at their work- they are more likely to play the tracks. We also included a message to the fans. This is a nice touch as it shows the DJ values the fans and appreciates them. This then might make them go out and buy more of the merchandise. The next section is where the CD will be. The picture is just of the character relaxing. It is a simple photo which matches the theme throughout the digi-pak's style. Finally there is a thankyou page which many artists have used, just to thank everyone who has helped them. Within our digi-pak we have ticked many of the conventions, such as a bar code. This is important as every digi-pak needs one.
